These strawberry donuts are delicious! We love making homemade donuts on weekend and holidays when we have time in the mornings. It’s easier than you might think, just grab a donut pan and follow this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted at room temp.
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temp
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 2½ all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hull removed and diced
- Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered icing sugar
- ½ cup milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Spray your donut pans with a non-stick baking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, add together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir to combine
- Set to the side.
- In a separate bowl, add the milk, oil, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla.
- Stir until fully combined.
- Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients
- Stir until combined.
- Add your strawberries and fold into the batter.
- Spoon batter into donut pan
- Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool 10 minutes.
- Glaze:
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
- Place a piece of foil under the wire rack with the donuts to catch any glaze.
- Pour your glaze from the bowl onto the donuts
